During the 1960s, in cooperation with the Southern California Church Federation, JEMS developed a Japanese language ministry in America. Our Nichigo Ministry initially focused on regular prayer meetings for the evangelization of Japan, promotion of the Japanese language division at the annual JEMS Mount Hermon conference, development of a united strategy to evangelize the Japanese here, and prayer and financial support for ministries in Japan.
After 60 years, the JEMS Nichigo ministry is passionately resolved share the gospel with the Japanese living/studying in the US. They also now strengthen fellow Japanese speaking believers though the JEMS Mount Hermon Conference, Jiho (Japanese language newsletter), Worship concerts and evangelistic events that are held in partnership with other Japanese speaking groups and churches.
Minako Fujimoto is the JEMS' Nichigo coordinator. Her ministry includes being a bridge
between many Japanese churches and organizations that are specifically reaching the Japanese living in the US. Through her ministry, Japanese speaking Christians are encouraged to share their faith and to serve in their local churches. She also regularly accompanies JEMS short-term summer mission teams to Japan.

1960年代、JEMSは現南カリフォルニアキリスト教教会連合と協力し、アメリカで日本語ミニストリーを展開しました。JEMSの日語ミニストリーは当初、日本伝道のための定期的な祈祷会、JEMSマウントハーモン修養会での日語部の推進、日本人伝道のために一致団結した戦略の開発、日本でのミニストリーへの祈りと経済的支援に重点を置いていました。
60年経った今でも、JEMS日語ミニストリーは、アメリカに住んでいる日本人やアメリカに留学している日本人に福音を伝えたいという情熱を持っています。 また、JEMSマウントハーモン修養会、時報（日本語のニュースレター）、賛美大会、他の日本語を話すグループや教会と協力して開催される伝道イベントなどを通して、日本語を話すクリスチャンの絆を強めています。
現在、JEMSの日語コーディネーターの働きを藤本三奈子が担っていますが、アメリカに住む日本人に働きかけをしている多くの日本人教会や組織との橋渡しをする働きをしています。 働きを通し、日本語を話すクリスチャンが信仰を分かち合い、地元の教会で奉仕するように励まされています。また、JEMS夏季短期宣教チームの日本訪問にも定期的に同行していています。
日語ミニストリーを支援することによって、アメリカに住む日本人に福音を伝えることができるように支援をお願い致します。アメリカでクリスチャンになった人たちが、他の日本人に信仰を伝えることができるようにお祈りください。また、日本に帰国するクリスチャンが、日本で福音を分かち合うキリストの弟子として日本に帰ることができますようにお祈り下さい。 JEMS日語部への支援を感謝致します。
