Japan General Fund
JEMS is committed to the care and support of our missionaries in Japan. Missionaries make a huge sacrifice to live in a foreign country, away from their families and friends. They can experience culture shock, burn-out, depression, marital difficulties, and more.
Our Japan General Fund enables us to offer Member Care retreats so that our missionaries can meet and encourage each other. It is also used to pay for counseling services and other available resources. Unexpected emergencies can arise. If the missionaries are unable to cover certain emergency costs, we do our best to provide a safety net through the Japan General Fund.
We also use this fund to grow the ministry of JEMS to Japan. Currently we are in the process of starting a JEMS Japan entity. This will enable us to hire Japanese Christians to come along side our missionaries to share the Gospel. This new Japan office will also enable us to issue visas to future JEMS staff.
This fund helps JEMS hire qualified missionaries. All our candidates go through a thorough application process, which includes a complete psychological assessment. This helps us be proactive in how we can best support our missionaries when they are in the field. However, these assessments are expensive ($2500-$2900). Your donation helps us send very qualified individuals to Japan as missionaries.
Your prayers and generosity to our Japan General Fund is greatly appreciated. Please help us reach Japan, by helping JEMS encourage, care, and support our missionaries. Thank you for directly impacting our missionaries through your generosity.
Please donate to support our efforts to equip, encourage and care for our missionaries in Japan!
