South
America Short-Term and Summer Mission Programs
“What
we know of missions often comes to us second-hand: missions
conferences and speakers. Some of us may even know missionaries
personally. And yet for us to really know what God is doing
in the world requires that we go out there and see it firsthand!”
- Rev John Katagi
JEMS is
introducing three programs this coming year that may be fit
your interest in serving in short-term missions:
Encore
Program
From French: encore "still, yet,
again,"
JEMS Encore Program
is designed for those who have transitioned from the workplace
and are looking forward to other opportunities to use their
skills and experiences. Encore means “yet again.” We recognize
that we don’t retire from Christian life and service. God
has much more in store for us if we have a desire to discover
opportunities to serve him in cross-cultural ministry.
Catalyst
Program
The term catalyst is often used to refer
to the prime agent of any change.
You can make a difference. As
part of the JEMS Catalyst Program, you can
be an agent of change in the lives of others. Find out how
your skills and energy can form a vital partnership of service
with a ministry overseas. Talk with JEMS about how you can
fit into the missions picture!
Ohana
Program
Hawaiian for family, relative, kin group;
related. `Ohana holo`oko`a, `ohana nui, extended family, clan.
Multiply your impact and resources
by providing your family with a ministry and service focus
in the JEMS Ohana Program. Consider the dynamic
influence that your family can have working alongside national
workers and believers. You will be amazed at how the skills
and aptitudes your family possesses can shine as they are
used for God’s glory.
