  • JEMS Executive Director
    Serves as Executive Director of the Japanese Evangelical Missionary Society.

    Description:
    Director is responsible for providing spiritual, vision, communication, management, and leadership for the organization. Must be able to work in areas of spiritual leadership, public relations, and fundraising. Position requires frequent out of town travel and service on the JEMS board of directors and other JEMS related boards, committees, and ministries. Bachelors degree and seminary degree with at least three years of related experience in church or para-church ministry work required.

  • JEMS Japan Missions Director (Fund-raising position)
    Serves as administrator of the Japan Missions ministries; responsible for the recruitment, training, and care of short-term and long-term Japan missionaries; researches potential Japan mission partnerships; develops and maintains mission policies.

    Qualifications:
    Completion of an Evangelical Theological Seminary and two years of combined experience in the mission field or mission organization OR graduate of a four year college and four years combined experience in the mission field and mission organization. Candidate with bilingual language and a status of "Permanent Residency" is preferred. Must qualify to obtain a passport to travel abroad.   • JEMS Sports and Recreation Director (Fund-raising position) Posted March 2008
    Serves as administrator of the Sports and Recreation Ministry; provides vision, leadership, and organizational support
    support to provide a positive atmosphere in which spiritual, emotional and social needs can be met. Encourage churches to create teams for the tournaments with the purpose of changing people's lives and as relationships are developed the seekers would be assimilated into local chuches.
    Organizing sports teams for short-term mission. The current tournaments include
    co-ed volleyball, softball, bowling and 3-on-3 basketball.


    Qualifications: A 4-year college education is desired, but not required. Physical ability to lift at least fifty pounds of equipment and material is desireable. Possess a California Class C driver's license. Must qualify to obtain a passport to travel abroad.

    Full-time Children's Ministry Director: We are seeking a godly, passionate, and committed candidate to serve our congregation in providing leadership and vision to the Children's Ministry (CM) program development and equipping children (birth-fifth grade) to become fully devoted followers of Christ, by providing and environment that embraces worship, evangelism, and spiritual maturity. Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, previous Director or Assistant Director of minimum 3-5 years expereince and or training in CM/Training field.   • Izumi Hope Chapel, Japan
    Izumi Hope Chapel near Osaka, Japan, is in need of one or two workers, preferably males that are college/young adult age, who can teach English conversation and/or have talent in music and sports in order to vitalize their youth ministry. The primary group that workers will minister to are children from elementary to high school age.

    The workers would serve from one to two months in July and August, possibly
    into early September.The cost of the mission trip is variable, depending on the originating destination point of the missionary in the U.S. Based on previous short-term projects, workers should plan to raise at least between $3,000 - $4,000 in financial support.
